This park is great! The staff is very helpful and the park is well maintained. The trails are short and have lots to look at. The kayak rental was very easy and the bay is fun to explore. I didn't use the campsites, but they look clean and well shaded. They have places to hook a hammock. Overall worth the trip from destin if you are tired of the beach
Drove here from Destin for an overnight. With fees, campsite was $30. The bath house was beautiful, updated, clean & air conditioned! They had laundry facilities that were working. $2wash $2 dry, change machine was broke. Ranger was nice at check in! The hiking trails are nice—I’d advise you take them!
This is a great park!! Camping sites are wonderful. Bathrooms are clean and roomy. Great views of the water.
Great campground close to Destin FL. Sites are large and well kept. Bath house is clean and the atmosphere is peaceful.
Beautiful well maintained trails and plenty of wildlife. There are options available to rent kayaks or a playground for the kids too. Perfect place for the family
This park was amazingly clean and all of the volunteer staff members were super friendly! The views were beautiful and the trails were very woodsy, which my dog loved! I even let him off his leash to get some exercise since there was next to no one on the trails! The sites are spacious and are fenced off from neighboring sites. Since we did not tow our extra vehicle, Uber picks up and delivers right to your site number!
Great camp ground. Not a great experience.. staff was not friendly..
even got locked out after hours and had to remove my hitch and drag it on the ground of the exit gate to get back in.....just keep the host phone number saved...
other than that the park is well kept and beautiful. the lots are huge and have a good barrier between sites they maintain the park well. Only reason on stars is the friendliness of the staffing they do charge extra if any one comes to visit.
Fabulous state park to visit! The hiking is easy but fun. The waterways are gorgeous. The restrooms are clean and open to park visitors. We've never camped here because we can just drive and do a day visit. You can rent kayaks! How fun! We put our own paddleboards in the water nears the rentable kayaks. It's easy getting in and out of the water. Boaters and jet skiers were respectful of our non-motoring selves. Lol.
